Arch Books are Christian Bible storybooks from Concordia Publishing House. They have captivated generations of children with their colorful pictures and creative poetry since they were introduced in 1964.
Each book presents a complete Bible story in a fun-to-read way that early elementary children will understand and remember. Known for their biblical and historical accuracy, Arch Books are timeless, affordable, and collectible—and a wonderful outreach tool too!
In the Arch Book food bank program, Arch Books are sent to food banks, food pantries, and other family resource programs hosted by churches or other organizations. These books are then made available alongside the other necessities families need, such as food.
One partnering church shared with us, “[This program] is why we can give not only bread to families but also […] the Bread of Life!”
This program stemmed from a young girl in Phoenix in 2024. This girl, Wynnie, wakes up with her mother at 5:30 a.m. every Wednesday to volunteer at their local food pantry. One day, an idea popped into Wynnie’s head: What if we were able to share more than food with people at the food pantry? What if we shared the Gospel?
After we got in contact with Wynnie’s family, CGO was able to make this vision a reality with the Arch Book food bank program, which has expanded to dozens of other food banks around the country (and counting).

A gift of $100 helps put Arch Books into the hands of 100 families in need.
